Introduction:

Kandal is one province of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Its capital is Khmao town. The province completely surrounds, but does not include, the Phnom Penh capital city, which has its border with Prey Veang on the east, Takoe and Kampong Speu on the west, Kampon Chnnang and Kampong Cham on the north, and Vietnam border on the south. The province is subdivided into 11 districts (Kandal Stueng, Kien Svay, Khsach Kandal, Koh Thum, Leuk Daek, Lvea Aem, Mukh Kamphool, Angk Snuol, Ponhea Leu, SAAng and Ta Khmau), 147 communes and 1,083 villages. Kandal covers on 3,555.42Km² with density 366 person/km². Population of Kandal is approximately 1,300,975 people with population grow is 2.6%. There are 8 Operational Districts (ODs) and 93 Health Centers (HCs).
